•This project, executed by Aeroporto di Roma Engineering, TDS, showcases the newly expanded non-Schengen area of Terminal 3 at Rome Fiumicino, spanning 10,000 square meters of vibrant commercial space designed to welcome an additional 6 million passengers annually. Complementing this is a visionary master plan for a standalone commercial hub.

• The interior design, led by Aeroforma studio managing director Manjit Dhillon. , shapes a dynamic and contemporary space featuring a striking 1,300m² duty-free walk-through store—an essential stop for all travelers—flowing into a two-level retail district themed ‘Made in Italy.’ This district highlights renowned Italian fashion houses and authentic local F&B brands, immersing passengers in Italy’s signature style and flavors.

• The new Area E seamlessly integrates travel and luxury, with apron-level bussing lounges, high-end retail at departures, and a mezzanine dedicated to dining. As passengers move through the two-level galleries toward the piers, they encounter a thoughtfully designed interplay of shopping and gastronomy. The mezzanine, overlooking the apron and the ‘3 Piazzas’ below, hosts a curated mix of cafés, restaurants, and bars, ensuring a distinctly Italian ambiance at every turn.
